Vhembe TVET College admission requirements vary depending on the course you want to apply for. Here are general requirements of courses offered at Vhembe TVET College:
NATIONAL CERTIFICATE VOCATIONAL (NCV): YEAR
To apply for NCV Engineering Studies you need to have passed Grade 9, 10, 11 OR have ABET Level 4 certificate.
To apply for NCV Business Studies you need to have passed Grade 9, 10, 11 OR have ABET Level 4 certificate.
To apply for NCV Utility Studies you need to have passed Grade 9, 10,11 OR have ABET Level 4 certificate.
NATED (REPORT 190 / 191): SEMESTER
To apply for NATED Engineering Studies you need to have passed matric with Mathematics and Physical Sciences OR have Technical subjects OR Passed NCV L4 in related fields
To apply for NATED Business Studies you need to have passed matric with Accounting/Business studies OR other commercial subjects OR Passed NCV L4 in related fields
To apply for NATED Utility Studies you need to have passed matric with Business studies/Hospitality OR Tourism OR Passed NCV L4 in related fields

How to apply at Vhembe TVET College for 2025
Here is a step by step guide on how to apply online at Vhembe TVET college for 2025:
- Visit the Vhembe TVET college website HERE
- Click on the "start now" tab under Step 1 to complete the compulsory placement test
- Register your profile and write the placement test
- After completing the placement test go back to the Vhembe TVET College website and click on the "start application" tab under Step 2
- Answer few questions regarding having a student number and accept the application rules and click "continue"
- Capture your biographical information and click "next" to proceed with your application;
- Capture results details then add subjects and click "next";
- Capture educational institution detail and click "next";
- Capture academic application details (choose 2 choices/programmes you wish to apply for), click on "add qualification" and thereafter click "next"
- Verify/Check your application details then click "continue";
- Create your 5 digit PIN (e.g 24689), click "I accept" (twice) checkbox thereafter click "Submit Application";
- Upload your documents, select "yes" on the dropdown list if all your documents are ready to be uploaded and then click "next";
- Click "Load/View Document" >> "Upload document" >> "Choose/Browse file" go to the folder where your documents are stored, choose the relevant document and click "save";
- Once all documents have been uploaded click "complete upload";
- Confirmation Page, end of application
NB: The placement test is simply a recommendation and you still have the right to choose your own course based on your preference, you will be required to sign acknowledgement that you prefer to apply for a course outside of the recommended placement.
